Stephanie Leslie
Stephanie Leslie began riding in Maryland at the age of 13.
After her introduction to riding which began during a single week of summer camp, the experience turned into a passion that she carries with her today.
In Maryland, Stephanie was part of the National Capitol Equestrian League (NCEL), which was an Equitation-based horse showing circuit for middle and high school students in the facility she took lessons at. Her NCEL experience followed her through middle and high school and allowed her to participate in local showing as well. Upon entering college at the University of Maryland, Stephanie joined the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) which is a national Equitation competition (at the college level only) horse show circuit.
Once Stephanie completed college, she moved to South Florida and began teaching lessons for a hunter/jumper facility in Coconut Creek. Five years later, she decided to take her skill set and branch out on her own. She opened a facility, taught lessons, assisted students with horse shows and was the head coach for the middle school and high school Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Equitation horse show team for her facility.
This year, Howard and Gwen Dvorkin offered Stephanie a way to blend her skills, the services her facility offers and be a part of a larger equestrian center. She accepted the opportunity and is now the manager for the Lesson Program at Pine Hollow Equestrian Center. Stephanie continues to teach lessons, take students to local horse shows from Miami to Wellington, coaching the IEA high school and middle school show team and running the summer and winter camps being offered at Pine Hollow.
